I made this brownie loaf over the weekend. It was really easy to make and is a perfect indulgence for these frosty winter days.
- 225g Dates
- 60g Gluten free flour
- 2tsp baking powder
- 3tbsp cocoa powder
- 100g vegan margarine
- 1 ripe banana
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- Vegetable oil for greasing
Method:
Set oven at 180'C
Place dates in a medium sauce pan with enough water to cover them, then cook them until they are soft.
Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa into a mixing bowl.
In another bowl cream the the dates and margarine using a fork.
Mix the two bowls together and add the banana and vanilla essence.
Oil the dish and bake for 25 minutes.
Allow to cool, cut into pieces of any shape or size, and ENJOY!
